The badge was designed by the Asst District Commissioner known as Miggelly. [6]
History
Brisbane East district is named after the Brisbane River, which was explored by John Oxley, an explorer, in 1823 and named after Sir Thomas Brisbane, the then Governor of New South Wales. Brisbane East district was originally established sometime around 1943 [1]. In 1943, the District Commissioner was A.J. Servine [2]. The district closed around 1970, and was absorbed into Eastern Hills District and was mentioned in the 1967-1968 Branch Annual Report, but no longer mentioned in the 1971 Branch directory [3,4,5]. In 1968, the District Commissioner was W. N. McAully.
