History

The district of Chatsworth is not named after a suburb within its boundaries but is instead named after Chatsworth Road, Brisbane. This even though Chatsworth Road does not fall within the present district of Chatsworth; it runs through the neighbouring district of Greenslopes. Chatsworth was formerly “Cavendish” scout district, and is an amalgamation of Camp Hill and Coorparoo District.  The district was established in 1989, and closed in 2012 where the majority of the groups were grouped as Fort Lytton district, and the remainder absorbed into Toohey Forest district [1].  In 1989, the DC was Colin F. Nelson [2].
