History

Southern & Western Region was a Country Region where the districts and groups were administered by Queensland Branch Headquarters.  In 1980, the Region Commissioner was Keith Pearson, and the Field Commissioner was Col Nelson [1]. By 1983, Southern & Western Region had ceased to exist, and its groups and districts distributed to the Western Region and South East Region [2, 3, 4, 5].

Southern & Western Region Districts (1980): Beaver Masters, Bunya, Condamine, D’Aguilar Range, Dolphin, Kalkadoon, South Coast [1].

Southern & Western Region Groups (1980): Miles Scout Group, Wandoan Scout Group, Taroom Scout Group, Roma Scout Group, Charleville Scout Group, Tambo Scout Group, Barcaldine Scout Group, Jericho Scout Group, Longreach Scout Group, Mt Tambourine Scout Group, Canungra Scout Group, Beaudesert Scout Group, Stanthorpe Scout Group, Girraween Scout Group, Goondiwini Scout Group, St. George Scout Group [1]
